Methodology
How Bullish Stock Alerts ranks valuation opportunities.
Bullish Stock Alerts is an educational research tool. The scanner combines valuation, quality, growth, risk and technical context to help investors prioritize deeper research. It does not provide personalized investment advice.
Data sources
The scanner can use Nasdaq Trader for the listed universe, SEC EDGAR for official filings and XBRL companyfacts, and optional providers such as FMP, Twelve Data, Alpha Vantage, FRED, BEA, EODHD or Tiingo when configured.
Cached architecture
Public scanner pages read cached WordPress data only. External providers are refreshed through admin actions, queues or scheduled jobs, not from frontend page loads.
Data confidence
Confidence reflects data completeness and freshness. It is not a prediction of return and not a measure of certainty.
Score architecture
- 40% valuation: margin of safety, fair-value range, multiples and upside/downside context.
- 25% quality: profitability, margins, balance sheet, free cash flow and consistency when available.
- 15% growth: revenue, EPS, free cash flow and operating income trends when available.
- 15% risk: leverage, liquidity, volatility, downside risk, missing data and accounting warning signs.
- 5% technical: trend, momentum, moving averages, volatility and volume as supporting context.
Intrinsic value
Intrinsic value is an estimate under assumptions. The engine can combine low, base and high ranges, valuation multiples, free-cash-flow logic and fallback calculations when certain fields are missing. Outputs are research estimates, not facts.
Why some stocks are hidden
ETFs, ADRs, SPACs, shell companies, warrants, units, low-volume securities, low-confidence rows, missing-data rows and securities outside the configured market-cap filters may be excluded from public views.
How to use the scanner
Filter by sector, risk and market cap. Sort by score or margin of safety. Then verify provider data, read official filings, compare peers, build your own thesis and manage risk.
